CKUA Celebrates 85 Years of Broadcasting

Original Air Date: Wednesday, October 10, 2012

CKUA will be turning 85 years old next month. The iconic Alberta radio station went on the air November 27 1927 and is arguably one of Canada’s oldest continually operational radio stations, second only to CFCF Montreal. Marking the significant milestone, the station is moving down Jasper Avenue to its new home at the restored Alberta Hotel.
