Re-Opening the Abortion Debate

A controversial private members pro-life motion was defeated in the House of Commons this week. Prime Minister Harper was among the 203 who voted against the motion to re-examine the Criminal Code’s definition of when life begins. 91 members of cabinet voted for it – including 80 conservative MPs.
