Beef Scandal

Original Air Date: Friday, September 28, 2012

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has now temporarily suspended meat processor, XL Foods' license to operate its plant in Brooks. It says XL is not adequately addressing E. coli contamination.

More than 300 ground beef products have been recalled across Canada and in thirty U.S states. Now, there’s news that tainted beef in the two week old alert was sold by smaller shops as recently as Tuesday.

How are Alberta ranchers, the town of Brooks and thousands of XL Foods employees coping?
