The Provincial Government is grappling with a budget spiraling out of control, but insists surpluses are coming in one year….so it is launching a province wide survey asking Albertans to help set fiscal boundaries.
There have been 17 consultations in 20 years, and this time, Albertans are being asked about rules on when the province should save, what the Heritage Savings Trust Fund should be used for, and if there should be a separate account for infrastructure spending. The deadline is October 31, 2012.
