Sounding the Alarm for Volunteer Firefighters in Alberta

There are alarming statistics on a website created to entice Albertans to become volunteer firefighters, 80 per cent of firefighters in this province are volunteers, 97 per cent of Alberta fire departments are run by volunteers, and there are more than 450 volunteer-operated fire departments in Alberta.

We are joined by Brian Cornforth, President of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association, and Chief of the Lethbridge Fire Department.
