Political Expense Accounts Go Public

Government politicians, political staff and about 400 senior government staff must make their expenses public.

Government will also stop reimbursing for alcohol and first class airline tickets, except in medical emergencies. Some observers wonder if other public institutions will follow suit.

Will the new rules prevent improper spending? How far behind are other public services? Will other taxpayer funded institutions adopt the changes?

We speak with Scott Hennig, Alberta Director for the Canadian Taxpayer Federation.
