The Senate says Canadian provinces need to work together on energy issues; nuclear power should be a big part of our future; and we must support the use of natural gas. Those are among 13 recommendations a standing committee has identified in a new report called “Now or Never”.
Why does the Senate see a new energy world order? How did they set the Canadian priorities? How will they affect Alberta?
Joining us for this discussion are Alberta Liberal Senator, Grant Mitchell, Deputy Chair of the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources; and Dan Woynillowicz, Director of Strategy and Communications at the Pembina Institute.
