Attention to Weather Warnings

As Edmontonians pause to remember the 25th anniversary of Black Friday, weather officials are urging Albertans to pay more attention to dangerous weather.

With the issuing of several tornado warnings already this summer, meteorologists suggest too many Albertans lack understanding of severe weather and ignore warnings that precede it.

Why are Albertans forgetting to keep an eye on the sky, and failing to act when danger is looming?

We speak with Dan Kulak, Alberta-based Warning Preparedness Meteorologist with Environment Canada.
