Edmonton police are investigating a possible hate crime. A 26 year old University of Alberta student says he was beaten up last week for being gay.

Camp fYrefly kicks off it’s 9th summer. It’s an Edmonton-based national retreat for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and queer youth that helps develop personal resiliency and leadership.

Given another possible Alberta hate crime - how crucial is support for sexual minority youth?
