Next Generation Farmers

Putting Albertans back on the farm - that is the aim of Premier Redford's Next Generation Advisory Council.

The 12-member team is made up of entrepreneurs under the age of 39 in various stages of their agriculture careers.  They will generate recommendations on reducing barriers to young people entering the field of farming.

What are the challenges facing young farmers? What will it take to reduce the risk for the next generation of agriculture entrepreneurs?

We speak with Carla Amonson, Co-Chair of the Next Generation Advisory Council.
