Municipal 311 Hotline Complaints

A member of Calgary City Council is calling for a task force to review the 311 municipal hotline. Alderman Peter Demong says too many complaints are going unresolved, and it's time to find out why.

Both Calgary and Edmonton operate 311 call centres, a single phone number service giving residents non-emergency access to all city departments. A recent review ranked the Edmonton system number one for mid-sized call centres in North America.

How are complaints being handled - and how would a task force get callers connected?
