Increasing Skin Cancer Rates

Skin cancer is rising dramatically. Several studies reveal deadly melanoma is increasing, especially among those under the age of 40. One study shows it’s eight times greater in women under 30, than forty years ago. We’ll explore reasons why.
Plus, funding for six federal organizations devoted to research and communication in women's health has been cut starting March 31, 2013. Some of the groups affected include the Canadian Women's Health Network and the Prairie Women's Health Centre for Excellence, both of which examine everything from trauma counselling for women with addictions to the analysis of the HPV vaccine and the effects of the hyper-sexualization of young girls.
