A 2008 government report, investigated homes with moisture damage causing mould. It called for major changes to be made to home building regulations and enforcement to protect homebuyers in Alberta.
Opposition parties are accusing the government of shelving these findings. But builders say that the homes in this report don’t represent the majority of those built in the province.
How widespread are the problems outlined in this report? Have any steps been taken to implement these recommendations? And should Albertans be concerned about the quality of their homes?
