He became a person of interest after the police came into video evidence of Engel trying to use Loose's bank cards and cashing a cheque from Loose.

Notorious Medicine Hat murderer Jeremy Steinke has filed documents in the Alberta Court of Appeal. Steinke, who now goes by the name Jackson May, is serving a life sentence after he was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his girlfriend's parents and her younger brother in 2006. The normal appeal period is 30 days after the conviction, but Steinke says he is only now filing the appeal because he has a lack of understanding the of the legal system.
